This is a convenient 4 day safaris in the Northern Circuit for travelers who are short on time. You will see many of the classic animals of East Africa, however there is a lot of driving, and with just 4 day, the window to see predators is limited.
Around 6:30AM, your driver guide with a 4x4 safari vehicle will pick you up at your hotel and drive off to Ngorongoro Conservation Area descend into the crater floor (UNESCO SITE) for a full day game viewing. You will enjoy picnic lunch inside the crater and continue with game drive. Ngorongoro is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest un flooded and unbroken caldera in the world which measures bout 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. It is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Sometimes described as an ‘eighth wonder of the world. It is home to approximately 30,000 animals, 25,000 being large mammals, mainly grazers – gazelles, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and warthog. You will not find giraffe since there is little to eat at tree level, nor Topi, because the competition with wildebeest is too fierce. On the ground floor, elephants are strangely mainly bulls. You can be lucky to sport the endangered black rhino in the crater floor. Before 6PM you will ascend to your Lodge for check in, dinner and overnight.
Overnight Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or similar.
After your early breakfast you will enjoy game drive en-route through the Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge to your Lodge in the world-famous Serengeti National Park for lunch. Olduvai Gorge is a prehistoric site of the early human evolution. The excavation work there was pioneered by Louis and Mary Leakey in the 1950s. The first artfacts in Olduvai (pebbles tools and choppers) date to circa 2 million years ago but fossil remains of human ancestors have been found from as long as 2.5 million years ago. Also located on the rim of the Gorge is the Olduvai Gorge Museum. This Museum presents exhibitions pertaining to the Gorge's history.
Since Olduvai Gorge holds the earliest evidence of the existence of human ancestors, it is believed to be probably the “Cradle of Mankind”. Paleoanthropologists have found hundreds of fossilized bones and stone tools in the area dating back millions of years, leading them to conclude that humans evolved in Africa.
After lunch you will explore different areas within this largest of Tanzania’s National Park and return back to you Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today you will decide with your guide who is your host and companion the time to wake up and spend the entire day in search of wildlife with the aim to spot all BIG 5. The Migration of wildebeests is also the unique phenomenon in this Park too. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. Back to your lodge for dinner.
