Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international Airport, a rep from Allday In Africa will pick you up with a private 4×4 safari vehicle and transfer to Arusha (approximately 50km or 31miles) a 45 to 50 minutes drive on a tarmac road for overnight at Machewo.
After your breakfast which will be ready at 7AM, you will meet with our representative who will give you a short safari briefing and your driver guide with a 4×4 safari vehicle will drive you on a paved road to Lake Manyara National Park for a half day game drive (No tarmac roads in all the Parks). Picnic lunch will be served at one of the picnic sites inside the park. Lake Manyara National Park is known for its flamingos. During the wet season they inhabit the edges of the lake in flocks of thousands but they are not so present during the dry season. More than 400 species of birds inhabit the park and many remain throughout the year. Because of this Lake Manyara National Park is the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. Visitors to the park can expect to see upwards of 100 different species of bird on any day. Leopards, tree climbing lions, elephants, blue monkeys, dikdiks, gazelles, hippos, giraffes, impalas and more inhabit the park and many can be seen throughout the year. You drive out of the park, continue to the Ngorongoro arriving at the lodge in time for check in, dinner and overnight at The Manor at Ngorongoro
Today you will descend to an amazing Ngorongoro Crater after your early breakfast at the lodge. You will have a half day crater tour that is blessed with an abundant number of animals. You will decide with your guide whether to take picnic lunch with you and enjoy inside the crater floor or you can ascend back to the lodge and get hot lunch. Ngorongoro is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest un flooded and unbroken caldera in the world which measures bout 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. It is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Sometimes described as an ‘eighth wonder of the world. It is home to approximately 30,000 animals, 25,000 being large mammals, mainly grazers – gazelles, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and warthog. You will not find giraffe since there is little to eat at tree level, nor Topi, because the competition with wildebeest is too fierce. On the ground floor, elephants are strangely mainly bulls. You can be lucky to sport the endangered black rhino in the crater floor. Afternoon will be at leisure enjoy the view and use the special amenities and lodge facilities. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge or similar
Please liaise with your driver guide to request an early breakfast before you drive to Tarangire National Park for game drive. You will proceed to your Lodge for check in and hot lunch before you go for another afternoon game drive. This park has some of the highest population density of elephants as compared to anywhere in Tanzania. The elephants here count about 300 scratching the dry river bed for underground streams. During dry season, migratory wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, giraffes, hartebeests and elands crowd the shrinking lagoons. Huge baobab trees make Tarangire special and those acacia trees inhabit the tree climbing pythons and the nesting birds of life numbering about 550 species. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Treetops or similar
After breakfast depart for Arusha, lunch in Arusha at Arusha Coffee Lodge or similar, (Option Dayroom), and proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
