HIGHLIGHTS

  • Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania
  • Allday In Africa representative will pick you up at Kilimanjaro international airport and transfer you to Arusha for overnight at Moivaro Lodge or similar (Dinner included).
  • Day 02: Arusha –Tengeru Cultural Tour- Tarangire National Park
  • After breakfast the driver guide will transfer you to Tengeru for cultural tourism – Options -Coffee tour, Local Market tour (Saturday & Wednesday). Also optional visit to a Graveyard of the 1st (German) Missionaries, Lake Duluti Hiking, Walk around the scenery of Tengeru, Forest Hiking, Mt. Meru wondrous flowers by biking, Maasai Village tour by biking, Lake Duluti Canoeing, Biking to Songota Waterfalls; then enjoy lunch, proceed to Snake Park ., drive on to Tarangire National Park for overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge or similar. All meals.
  • Day 03: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
  • After a delicious breakfast you will go for a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park. It’s one of the best parks for elephant watching, and is home to hundreds of bird and game species. The elephants here count about 300. During dry season, migratory wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, giraffes, hartebeests and elands crowd the shrinking lagoons. Huge baobab trees make Tarangire special and those acacia trees inhabit the tree climbing pythons and the nesting birds of life numbering about 550 species. After Lunch you will visit Mto wa Mbu local market (see the red bananas and other organic vegetation grown there, Maasai Village Visit and orphanage center when time allows. dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge or similar.
  • Day 04: Lake Manyara to Karatu
  • Your breakfast will be ready at 7.30AM then you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive . Lake Manyara National Park is known for its flamingos. During the wet season they inhabit the edges of the lake in flocks of thousands but they are not so present during the dry season. More than 400 species of birds inhabit the park and many remain throughout the year. Because of this, Lake Manyara National Park is the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. Visitors to the park can expect to see upwards of 100 different species of birds on any day. Leopards, tree climbing lions, elephants, blue monkeys, dikdiks, gazelles, hippos, giraffes, impalas and more inhabit the park and many can be seen throughout the year. Drive out of the park and proceed to Karatu for lunch at Gibs Farm. At Gibbs farm you will enjoy the beautiful gardens and organic fresh delicious food from their gardens. After lunch you will go for a local home visit and learn about the Iraqw people, you will take pictures while wearing wedding skirts made of goat skin and carrying of the local utensils and men’s tribal look. You will have the opportunity to get inside the very ancient house resembling a cave. You will visit a school and church if time allows dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House or similar.
  • Day 05: Karatu – Lake Eyasi
  • Enjoy breakfast and take a journey into the "Gods must be crazy" movie. The Hadzabe tribe of Tanzania is the last true nomads of Africa. All day Africa Adventures can take you on an amazing adventure with the Hadzas. You will join the men as they hunt for their daily subsidence using traditional Bow and arrows, or join the women as they forage for fruits and berries. This is not a show or a "tourist put on". This is the real deal. A true African cultural experience, not for the faint of heart. Overnight stay at Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp or similar.
  • Day 06: Lake Eyasi- Karatu
  • Continue with early morning Hadzabe and Datoga tribes activities. The Datoga are skilled farmers and craftsman. You will visit their habitat, and experience their culture first hand. Be prepared for the experience of a lifetime. After lunch drive to Karatu Overnight stay at Ngorongoro Farm House Camp or similar.
  • Day 07: Karatu- Ngorongoro
  • Leave your Lodge early for Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy a full day crater tour with picnic lunch. Ngorongoro is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest un flooded and unbroken caldera in the world which measures bout 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. It is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Sometimes described as an ‘eighth wonder of the world. It is home to approximately 30,000 animals, 25,000 being large mammals, mainly grazers – gazelles, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and warthog. You will not find giraffe since there is little to eat at tree level, nor Topi, because the competition with wildebeest is too fierce. On the ground floor, elephants are strangely mainly bulls. You can be lucky to sport the endangered black rhino in the crater floor. Before 6PM you will descend to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or similar
  • Day 08: Ngorongoro – Arusha – Flight Home
  • Get your Morning breakfast at your lodge then drive back to Arusha, have lunch before you are transferred to Kilimanjaro international airport for your international flight home.
