Details
The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. In this tour, which is the only short tour that most tourists have a chance to see all the big five (5), you will have a chance to see the crater which formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago and is 610 metres (2,000 feet) deep and its floor covers 260 square kilometres (100 square miles). A safari in the Ngorongoro Crater is done in a 4*4 Open roof Safari Vehicle. Pick up and drop off is usually done in minivans and small cars, and depends on the group you are joining, so expect to either be alone or shared with other tourists like yourself.
